An excellent examination of the fighting during the German counter-offensive, Operation Nordwind. Includes considerable information on the Battle of Hatten-Rittershoffen. Von Luck, Hans, Col. Panzer Commander: The Memoirs of Colonel Hans von Luck. Praeger. New York, 1989. Col. von Luck, a veteran armor officer who fought in N. Africa, Normandy, Alsace, and two tours on the Eastern Front. Von Luck commanded the 21st Panzer Division during the final months of the war. His comments about the Battle of Hatten-Rittershoffen are very interesting. Bonn, Keith E.
